Scope:
The Chief Product Owner will be involved in partnering with the CDO (Chief Digital Officer) and digital leadership team to develop effective product strategies, visions and execution plans for NCBFG. His/her mission will be to shape and deliver digital solutions that transform customer experiences. This individual will define measurable objectives for the digital solution to gain market share, maximize profitability and/or increase customer satisfaction through customer-centred digital experiences. This role will involve working closely with digital business executives as well as product owners to achieve sales targets through digital innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Play an important role in leading Product Managers and cross-functional product teams through the process of designing and delivering digital solutions that solve business problems and capture opportunities, ensuring both creativity and relevance
- Define the product portfolio, make major product decisions, enact product roadmaps (which are developed by the product team) and work with the Digital Factory or Digital Lab team to set priorities for what will be built and when.
- Lead innovation in products with cross-functional teams and think creatively to deliver first class digital solutions that create rapid impact for employees, customers and the business
- Prepare and present product visions and proposals to the leadership team and wider organization - outlining how new business opportunities are expected to promote business growth and profitability in line with strategic goals
- Display a dynamic leadership working with partners throughout the organization and leading product teams focused on innovation, entrepreneurial spirit, growth and success
- Nurture top talent, networks and partners - identifying and building relationships with candidates for key open positions and future positions created by growth
Skills and background:
- Deep experience in digital product development and marketing ideally in a fintech environment
- Exceptional problem skills and data-driven product decision-making
- Ability to understand product metrics and make decisions based on them
- Experience with designing creative, quality consumer products, as well as enabling business capability and objectives through technology
- Experience in launching a product and managing a live product
- Entrepreneurial self-starter who is self-motivated, but also a team player with a professional presence
- Thought leadership and ability to influence at all levels in the organization
Experience and qualifications:
- 12+ years of total experience including 7+ years of experience in product development and marketing
- Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree a plus
- Experience of operating within a multi-channel/multi-region brand or brands
- Knowledge of Lean and Agile software development processes
