Maintenance Crew Member

For our affiliate, AIC Global Holdings Inc.


Essential Functions:

  • Overall/preventative maintenance of plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems
  • Participate in various projects such as painting, renovations, workstations/furniture changes/setups
  • Keep the tool room/electrical store room/mechanical rooms organized and secure
  • Liaise with building vendors to resolve equipment problems
  • Clean the underground parking and maintain garage (using Rider-Sweeper-Scruber)
  • Assist in the removal of snow and ice to ensure safe access to and exit from the parking areas and buildings
  • Assist staff in various departments moving boxes and/or other heavy items
  • Maintain accurate records of mechanical room check lists
  • Complete maintenance of exterior/interior ponds
  • Deliver paper, water or other supplies throughout facility/building
  • Reset fire panels and maglock doors as required and participate in fire drills
  • Set up/take down meeting rooms
  • Provide input for parts/equipment pricing
  • Various outdoor maintenance duties as assigned
  • Ensure all Health and Safety policies are adhered to and notification is provided if required
  • Various duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Certification or courses in appropriate trades
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office such as Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Grade 12/Secondary School

Work Experience:

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in building trades, including carpentry, dry wall erection, plumbing, masonry, painting and HVAC management
  • Sound knowledge of building systems, basic building construction/maintenance and basic electrical construction and specifications
  • Sound knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
  • On Call availability
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence
